Spondylolisthesis is the forward displacement of a vertebra with reference to the vertebra just below it and can have multiple causes.

✅ In adults, the most common cause is abnormal wear and tear of the cartilage and bones, due to the presence of arthritis.
✅ Bone diseases, fractures and sports such as gymnastics, weightlifting and soccer can also cause spondylolisthesis.
